Below is the result of the script provided by Amazon. It appears to be a banner that we can put on one or more of our edow pages. The parameters passed to the script in its initial form are:
amazon_ad_tag="stjamepichu0b-20"; amazon_ad_width="728"; amazon_ad_height="90"; amazon_color_border="3799DB"; amazon_color_logo="FFFFFF"; amazon_color_link="206BA2"; amazon_ad_logo="hide"; amazon_ad_title="St. James' Episcopal Church Amazon Store";On 4/19, I have had two results with this same script:
(1) The first couple times I used it, the script presented a yellow and red banner with a prominent Amazon logo in a white bacground on the left. Clicking anywhere in the yellow or white or red areas took me to http://www.amazon.com/?tag=stjamepichu0b-20&camp=1&creative=373897&linkCode=sb3, an amazon.com page that thought I was Don Mullins -- not to the St. James' Amazon Store, or at least not to the same page as above.
(2) After I went to the Amazon.com page in (1) above and then used my browser's "BACK" button to go back to this test page, the script presented a mostly-white banner with a thin blue outline and a blue bar at the top, with the title "St. James' Episcopal Church Amazon Store" in the blue bar and three products randomly shown in the white space. Clicking on the text in the blue bar took me to the St. James' Amazon Store at http://astore.amazon.com/stjamepichu0b-20.
You may see either of these results below, and I would be interested to know your experience. The result should be right here, next below the line of dashes:
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
To quote a well-known source of bacon, "Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-Th-That's all folks!" -- for now. I will experiment with modifications to the blue/white banner, but I'm not sure where we would use it, unless we created a special page on the church website rather than just a link from the menu.
If I find anything exciting, I will display it here. All of my testing will be visible here, too, as the script does not seem to work when executed from my hard drive, but only when executed from the edow server.

Testing 4/20/09:
First time running the script this morning, it did not display anything. Second time, with no changes, it displayed the blue/white banner.
Trying to center it on the page:
In testing the attempt to center the banner, the script displayed the yellow/white/red banner and the blue/white banner both on the same page. I believe the script is unreliable. This phenomenon is shown in the image below:
Trying to lengthen it (amazon_ad_width="900";):
And make it higher (amazon_ad_height="150";):
