Adult Education exists to help adults of all ages grow closer to Christ and gain insight into how the Christian message can influence our actions in the world around us. We work hard to create opportunities for thoughtful discussion within our congregation and to provide materials and lectures that inform the members of St. James’.

Find the Zoom links for virtual gatherings in our Sunday email or at the News and Events page on this website.

FaithTalk adult education is offered Sundays at 9:15 a.m. in a hybrid in-person/Zoom format. Topics vary, and are announced in the weekly News & Notes email. Come as you are, wherever you are!

A book club meets virtually in the evening on the fourth Sunday of every month; book club selections are decided by the group and announced in parish News & Notes emails. Everyone is welcome – regardless of whether you finished the book!

The “Exploring our Faith” Study group group meets virtually on Thursday mornings from 10 to 11:30 a.m. for a book study, or to look at the lectionary readings for the following Sunday. It is also a time for a little fellowship and mutual support, for remembering in prayer those in need, and for offering our thanksgivings–a really great personal boost for each of us! All are welcome to join us.

The Men’s Breakfast and Bible Study meets virtually on Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m. to share breakfast, study scripture, and pray for one another. Newcomers are always welcome!

If you are interested in helping to plan adult education activities, please feel free to join the Adult Ministries Commission. Long term participation in the commission is wonderful, but project or seasonal work is welcome too!
